Life Membership Rules and Regulations (1949)

Following the first dedication ceremony, the AWI informed the branch membership about the rules and regulations for writing the life histories in the December, 1949, Home and Country newsletter:

Life histories of Institute women who have given outstanding service can be added in the Book of Remembrance by an Institute, Constituency or District if paid for by the sponsor, which is $15.00 per page.

Two hundred words in four paragraphs. First to tell the maiden name, where born, educated, and vocation followed until marriage; husband’s name and number of children.

Second, Institute activities and offices held.

Third, community work done, such as church, lodge, school boards, etc.

Fourth, place and date of death. (Home and Country, December 1949, 4)
